Your collective timeline of climate science history #climatehistoryEGU22
EGU is the perfect place for interdisciplinary initiatives on climate sciences. We invite every expert from all science fields connected to the study of past, present and future climates to add their brick to build a timeline on climate sciences. You can participate with a Twitter thread by identifying 1 to 3 scientific breakthroughs in your topic, providing: the year and a short description of the breakthrough, your name and expertise area, with a picture of you please! We'll summarize the results on our site earthbreath.fr . Don't forget to mention the hashtag #climatehistoryEGU22 in your post :)

It's all about Ammonia!
Elevated nitrogen deposition is increasingly the focus of regulations in many countries. Ammonia is one of the important compounds in this respect. Therefore, reliable NH3 measurement techniques are crucial. Being a highly sticky and water-soluble molecule, ammonia brings unique challenges to measurements in particle-rich agricultural and urban air settings. Picarro is actively working on overcoming many of these challenges. In this networking event we will present our state-of-the-art solutions followed by an open discussion on best practices for ammonia measurements. This round table is open for anyone, both newcomers and experienced scientists in the field of ammonia measurements.

Maria has guided this practice in the vEGU21 Mind You Head Short Course and Popup Event.

Building a Network for Sustainable Development
Regardless of where we live, our communities face challenges caused by global warming including flooding, wildfires, drought, geologic hazards, and access to raw materials. Additionally, world events push us to transition to renewable energy much faster than anticipated. We can create a peaceful, nurturing environment full of livable cities but only if we work together to share expertise, resources, and standards that push us to do more than we ever have. Join us to talk about bridging the gaps between geoscientists and communities, and how to create a global sustainability network for the next century.

Science and industry with Climate X

Come get a drink on us and chat about how we do science in industry; how you can get your science into industry, get funding, and influence policy and business decisions. Find out more about the ROBIN Network
A Reference Observatory of Basins for INternational hydrological climate change detection. To detect climate driven-trends we need to analyse river basns that are relatively undisturbed by such human impacts. Recognising this, some countries have declared 'Reference Hydrometric Networks'. We are gathering a global network of partners to bring together a truly global RHN and will analyse the data to see how trends in river flows are affected by climate change. If you would like to find out more about ROBIN please come and say 'Hi'!
