Neurodiversity at EGU
This is an informal gathering aimed at neurodivergent attendees. It is estimated that between 15 and 20% of the global population is neurodivergent. That's the equivalent of 3-4000 of the annual attendees of the EGU General Assembly. There is currently no network or community specifically representing the interests or needs for neurodivergent people within EGU. We would like to set one up.
Whether you are attending the meeting or not we would love to hear your experiences of EGU General Assemblies, past and present. Please complete our survey, where you can also register your interest in a network: https://forms.office.com/e/BwKJDjZvXL

Crowd-solving Problems in Earth sciences
Research often starts with the spark of an idea, but we spend most of our research time with the challenges that follow. In Earth Science research, these include
1) methodological dead-ends, a lack of theory or knowledge,
2) problems of temporal and spatial scaling and extrapolation,
3) restricted access to field sites or data, or
4) everyday hurdles of life as a scientist.
With this meeting, we address some of those 'problems'. In discussing challenges among our diverse disciplines and backgrounds, we seek to find possible solutions, suggest new research approaches and methods, and encourage further networking.

Early Career Scientist Coffee Catch-Up
Early Career Scientists (ECS) are invited to grab a coffee and make their way to the EGU Booth, where they meet and (re)connect just a step away from the bustling, energetic hive of the Assembly; build a network, share what you’ve learnt, or simply catch a moment to relax. Early Career Scientist Representatives will also be available during this time: attendees have the opportunity to learn how the Reps elevate the voice of ECS within the Union all year long and how attendees can get involved in ECS activities within and without the Assembly.
Organized by Simon Clark | Co-organized by: Dan Evans, ecs@egu.eu; Stefanie Kaboth-Bahr, ecs-deputy@egu.eu
Location: EGU networking zone – next to EGU booth (Hall X2)
