Attending the EGU General Assembly for the first time? Want to get to know other early career scientists from your discipline or taste the interdisciplinary nature of geosciences? Then join us for the pre-GA Icebreaker organized jointly by Atmospheric Sciences (AS), Geodesy (G), Geodynamics (GD), Natural Hazards (NH), Seismology (SM) and Solar-Terrestrial Sciences (ST) division ECS Teams (it's the perfect activity after you pick up your name badge!). We will meet at Copa Beach (approximate location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/LNK6Hf7dGkE3grLy9) and we plan to go to the EGU Opening Reception at the conference venue (ACV) afterwards. Join us at HydroMeet, the official networking event organized by the Young Hydrologic Society (YHS) as well as the early career scientist representatives of the EGU Hydrological Sciences Division and the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).

Join us for a coffee at the EGU booth and meet the Geomorphology (GM) Division team! This informal drop-in is a great chance to break the ice, connect with fellow researchers, and chat with GM Division officers and ECS representatives. Come along to learn more about the division and explore how you can get involved in the EGU community.

Join the Solar-Terrestrial Sciences (ST) Early Career Scientists (ECS) community for an informal lunch (please bring your own food!) to get to know your fellows to network, get tips for a successful week and mingle with some experts of our field. In case of good weather, the picnic will be at Donaupark, close to the conference centre. In case of bad weather, the picnic is tentatively planned to take place at Terrace G. In any case we will meet at the X4 foyer (inside or outside depending on the weather) at 12:30 where you can identify us by a sign. Inviting curious scientists to explore storytelling, media, and public engagement. I’ll share my experiences as an environmental journalist and documentary filmmaker, including insights from my recent EGU 2025 Fellowship, showing the real impact outreach can have. “communicating your work to people outside your field.”

If you are (interested in) using Fortran for Earth and planetary science, join us for this informal networking event! It does not matter if you are a senior Fortran developer, work with Fortran-based models, or are simply curious about the language. All are welcome.
